Our Mission
Support adolescent girls as they navigate life’s complex challenges through the delivery of evidence informed programs and engaging our community.
Mentoring is connection, sharing knowledge, skills, and life experience to guide another towards reaching their full potential; it is a journey of shared discovery.
Sister2sister matches Mentors (Big Sisters) and Mentees (Little Sisters) who attend group psychoeducational workshops and activities to assist with building a trusted and safe mentor relationship, connect with peers and help build resilience and empower girls to realise their limitless potential. The program is supported by our staff and volunteer team who provide mentor and mentee support throughout the program year.
A series of workshops delivered in-school to Year 7 Girls to support them at this crucial stage of their development.
Providing support to young women at this stage of development has the potential to increase their resilience, emotional intelligence and stress management skills. Creating a strong foundation for personal growth.
The program is designed as a series of 4 sessions delivered across 2 school terms.
Impact
Through the power of 1:1 mentoring and safe consistent relationships, we empower Little Sisters to have a voice and to make positive choices for a better future. Our team structure provides an environment that fosters connection, self-worth and growth for all in our S2s community.
What we've done
Over the course of the past 19 years, Sister2sister Foundation has delivered 18 Sister2sister Mentoring Programs across NSW and VIC, supporting 497 girls to become Little Sisters. 501 Big Sister Mentors have been trained to provide safe relationships and 1:1 care and support to a Little Sister, and 8 No Limits 4 Girls School Workshop series have been delivered to Year 7 girls in NSW and VIC.
We are proud to announce that in 2023 the NL4G rolled out across NSW and Queensland; allowing the program’s benefits to reach an increased number of young women and for these women to be supported by the Sister2sister Foundation.
